Chuka Umunna, Signal AI Advisory Board Member and Head of ESG at Edelman
Chuka was appointed earlier this month as Head of ESG at Edelman, one of the world’s leading corporate advisory firms. He is also a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of Advanced, the UK’s third largest provider of business software and services, and is on the board of Digital Identity Net UK; Chuka also sits on the Advisory Board of Signal AI. Having started his career in law, Chuka was the Member of Parliament for Streatham in the UK from 2010 until 2019, during which time he was Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.   

Sapna Sood, Group Director, International Clients and Markets Development, Compass and Non-Executive Director, M&S
Sapna sits on the Executive Committee at multinational foodservice business Compass Group, where she has responsibility for International Clients and Market Development. Sapna recently joined Marks & Spencer’s Board as a non-executive, having previously sat on the Board of the French luxury goods company, owner of Gucci and other brands, Kering, where she also chaired the Sustainability Committee

David Eaves, Lecturer of Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School
David teaches Digital Transformation at the Harvard Kennedy School, and has devised and advised local governments across the US, and countries around the world. He’s also advised the Canadian government on its open data platform. David was a Director of Education for Code for America, he trained Whitehouse inhibition fellows, he founded the tech platform Recollect which aims for zero waste. And has been named world’s 100 most influential people in Govtech, and he also has a background in negotiation

Jason Furman, Chief Economist to President Obama
Jason was Chief Economist to President Obama, and is currently the Professor of the Practice of Economic Policy at Harvard. He is a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, and also held a role a Deputy Director for the National Economic Council.

Gila Sacks, Director of Testing Policy & Strategy, NHS Test & Trace
Gila is the Director for Digital and Tech Policy at DCMS, her responsibilities cover the tech sector and digitisation of the wider economy, and society and ethical implications of technology. Gila set up the office for AI, and the Centre for Data and Ethics Innovation and has spent 10 years in the Civil Service as Private Secretary to not one, but two Prime Ministers, Brown and Cameron.

Stuart Russell, Professor of Computer Science at Berkley
Stuart is a Professor of Computer Science at Berkley in California, has been teaching there for more than 30 years now, and he founded and leads the Centre for Human Compatible AI and also of numerous books including Artificial Intelligence, A Modern Approach, which is probably the most read book on the subject in the world.
